A Review of Figure Magazine
For my favorite magazine, I chose Figure magazine. The reason I like Figure is because it’s a fashion and lifestyle magazine that really stands out from the competition. It’s aimed towards plus-sized women, and deals exclusively with issues important to that group. It includes interviews with famous plus-sized actresses, singers, sports figures, and more. Instead of being filled with ads featuring stick thin models, it has models that look like normal, everyday women. It advertises for clothes, goods, and services plus-sized women would be interested in. It offers a refreshing point of view that’s very rare in magazines specifically about following popular fashion.
